From 23-26 September the representatives of the Lubuski Tricity business visited the Netherlands. On the first day of the trip the delegation visited Helmond, a partner town of Zielona Góra. There the visitors were received by Ms. Ivone Mierlo, Deputy Mayor. Ms. Mierlo presented a brief history of the city as well as its plans for development in the near future and invited the delegation to the Automotive Campus and Food Tech Park.
The Automotive Campus is a high-tech R%D centre closely related to automotive sector. An interesting thing is that one of the two testing facilities in
Europe for car bumping tests is located just here. The main objective of the research carried out in the Automotive Campus is improvement of road safety as well as development of new car drive sources. The other research centre visited was Food Tech Park operating for the needs of the food sector. The Food Tech park is an example of an ideal cooperation carried out by business units, the Municipal Office and central authorities. The idea of establishing this facility was created in 2010 and not later than in 2012 the Park was operating. On the second day of the visit our local businessmen had an opportunity to present their products at the V4 Start-ups in the Netherlands Rotterdam 2014. It was a great chance to establish business contacts, search for investors as well as a good presentation lesson. Galactico, a company from Zielona Góra, was ranked by the international jury the highest of all our companies present there. It is worth mentioning that there was represented only by companies from the Lubuski Tricity. The Polish Ambassador in the Netherlands – Mr Jan Borkowski was also present at the V4 Start-ups. Poland
